Strategy, Risk & Transactions (SR&T) is an end-to-end strategic advisory practice, enabling our C-suite clients to make informed, robust decisions and strategic choices. It integrates the full scale of Deloitte's M&A capabilities, consolidates Climate & Sustainability advisory capabilities, and tightens the connection between strategy development and risk management to assist clients with navigating uncertainty and change.

ThePrivate Equity, M&A, and Infrastructure Advisory teamis being setup as part of CFA practice. The team will advise on acquisitions, divestments, buy-outs and capital raisings across the above mentioned sectors, a significant number of which will be cross-border or international in nature. The team will work closely with thePrivate Market Advisorythat provides consulting advice to public and private sector, and the Financial Investors and Institutional Tax teams that cover all the major sources of capital - Private Equity, Pension funds, Listed institutional landlord. As such, the team will have visibility across a wide spectrum of interesting real estate and infrastructure situations and access to global capital sources.

As a BusinessAnalyst / Consultant, you will be part of a team conductingFinancial Due Diligencefor potential transactions, helping buyers and sellers assess risks and opportunities.

Your main focus will be analyzing a company's financial and business performance, including:

• Adjusted earnings (Quality of Earnings)
• Adjusted net debt and working capital
• Other key deal/value drivers

In this role, you will develop strong relationships, enhance your communication skills, and collaborate with various stakeholders. You’ll also commit to continuous learning and professional growth, sharing knowledge and embracing our values in your daily work.

• Analyze financial information of the Target over an agreed period (typically 3 to 5 years), assessing key trends and performance indicators.
• Utilize data analytics solutions, where applicable, to process and structure large and complex financial data efficiently.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including trial balance clustering, ageing reports, capex reports, supplier and customer ledgers, and sales and gross margin databases by product.
• Prepare insightful P&L analyses, evaluating revenue and cost breakdowns, margins by product/country/customer, and other key financial and non-financial data.
• Assist in preparing balance sheet analyses, covering fixed asset movements, receivables quality, overdue trade payables, and other key assets and liabilities.
• Track interactions with clients and Target personnel to coordinate data requests and ensure seamless due diligence processes.
• Collaborate proactively with team members and clients, ensuring consistency in methodologies and analytical approaches.
• Independently develop initiatives and solutions, gathering and structuring data to support strategic business decisions.
• Apply financial and accounting expertise to support M&A transactions, from preliminary assessments to post-transaction analyses.

#YourProfile

Must-have qualifications

• University Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance or related disciplines.
• Ability to interpret andanalyze financial statements, market analysis, solid mathematical and accounting knowledge, and familiarity with the main businessvaluation methodologies.
• Strong interest in M&A.
• Excellent written and spoken knowledge ofEnglish
• Proficiency inMS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
• Strong ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Proven analytical and systematic problem solving skills
• Ability to operate in high performing teams and manage multiple tasks.

Nice-to-have qualifications

• Experience in audit and assurance services, preferably within a Big 4 environment or another international advisory firm.
• Knowledge / exposure to big data analytics tools (Power BI, Alteryx, etc.) will be considered an asset.
