ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of its client, a global leader & pioneer in entertainment, is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join their Development Team.
The company offers a robust web platform that supports the entertainment sector across multiple countries.
Location: Athens
Working Model: Hybrid
You will be reporting to: Engineering Director
What you will do:
You will be part of a collaborative team responsible for the continuous development, optimization, and maintenance of a large-scale web ticketing platform.
More specifically:
- Develop new functionalities and enhance existing ones
- Analyze requirements and deliver scalable solutions
- Integrate 3rd party systems via REST APIs
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning
- Produce technical documentation and user manuals
- Validate deliverables and ensure data accuracy
- Provide support for small systems and platform modules
- Ensure code quality and adherence to standards
Requirements
- University Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar software engineering role
- Strong knowledge of Java SE / EE and Spring Framework (JPA/Hibernate)
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (MSSQL)
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs
- Familiarity with build tools (Maven) and Git workflows
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design
- Exposure to front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, JSP) is a plus
- Fluency in English
- Attention to detail, teamwork, and initiative
