Deloitte has been involved in most of the key restructuring and turnaround in Belgium in recent years, assisting both private equity, corporate investors and financial lenders in making well-founded investment decisions as well as corporates and SME’s to drive value and turn performance around.
In order to support companies, the Turnaround, Restructuring and Performance Improvement team provides quantitative and qualitative insights on business operations which link directly to transaction financials in multiple areas, from pre- or post- deal opportunities, financial restructuring and (strategic and operational) turnaround solutions, synergy gains, streamlined business plans with insights on growth potential, to understanding how a business will operate after separation or post turnaround.
As a Turnaround and Restructuring Consultant, you - together with your team - will support our clients in their turnaround and M&A endeavors. You advise medium to large corporations and investors at C-Level with the development and implementation of their growth, turnaround and value creation strategy. You will make sure that you keep a holistic view on the end goal and cooperate together with team and client to define where deal value can be created.
You will work on topics such as:
- IndependentBusiness Reviews, including implementation offinancialandoperationalturnaroundsolutions.
- Cash-flowand workingcapital optimization
- Cost reductionandperformanceimprovement programs

#AboutYourRole
Your role as aConsultantwill focus on the delivery of client engagements by understanding expectations and demonstrating personal accountability for keeping performance on track, exercising effective communication and relationship-building skills and contributing to the priorities of the team, and clients. You will commit to personal learning and development and explore opportunities to make an impact by delivering exceptional client services.
Although each client and each engagement will be unique and present its own challenges, your activities will entail the following:
•Supportdiscussions and interviewswith management, key client stakeholders, and industry experts to gather insights and contribute to client needs
• Assist in analyzing financial, operational, and market datato help identify key conclusions and support client deliverables in a clear and practical manner
•Collaborate with the team to utilize data and diagnosticsto help build (financial) factbooks and assist in facilitating productive discussions
•Help ensure that deliverables are aligned with the client’s needsand contribute to developing clear, visual communication of findings
•Assist in managing project deliverables and help coordinate taskstoward client satisfaction
• Contribute to building and maintaining client relationships, identifying potential business opportunities, and supporting the team in client engagement
•Support the development of the M&A Transformation & Turnaround teamby learning from senior colleagues, assisting in team development, and participating in internal initiatives.

Key Qualifications
- MBA or a Master's degree in, for example, business, economics or finance
- At least 2-3 yearsof working experience within financial/strategy consulting, performance improvement/cost reduction or corporate finance management within a consulting company or in the industry
