#AboutYourRole&Responsibilities

Your role as a Data Protection Specialist will focus on assisting the Privacy & Confidentiality function by promoting the internal privacy program aiming to achieve high-end protective measures for personal data that Deloitte processes and to ascertain that all data processing activities comply with the applicable regulatory framework.

During your tenure as a Data Protection Specialist, you will demonstrate and develop your ability to:

• Contribute to the management / development / evaluation / deployment of Data Protection strategies from a Risk Management perspective

• Ensure compliance with Data Protection legislation, Privacy Laws and Regulations

• Monitor, evaluate and align data management procedures and compliance within Deloitte

• Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)

• Respond to potential data breaches

• Ensure that data subjects’ requests are handled adequately and in a timely manner

• Follow up with changes in law, which may impact activities.

• Provide consultation with regards to data protection matters

• Provide assistance in execution of risk assessments

• Participate in Privacy by Design activities

#WinningRequirements

To qualify for the role you must have:

• University degree with specialization in the areas of Data Protection, Law, Information Technology or relevant field that demonstrates your interest in the data protection and privacy domains.

• Proven experience of at least 1-3 years in the area of data protection

• Basic understanding of control frameworks, experience with ISO implementations or project management are desirable

• Proven ability to deal with relevant data protection and privacy regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR)

• Accreditations from the International Association of Privacy Professionals such as CIPP will be considered an asset

• Proven competency to effectively prioritize workload towards meeting deadlines and work objectives

• Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience (in both Greek and English)

• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and presentation creation tools as well as Internet research tools

• Analytical thought, strong problem solving and communication skills

• Commitment to teamwork and ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal relationships

• Ability to maintain professionalism and strive for high ethical standards at all times
