We are looking to hire a Consulting Analyst based at our Thessaloniki office. Your primary tasks will involve project-based research, analysis, data collection, key energy market development tracking and consulting. You will get to work with experienced energy market professionals as well as with international clientele and contacts. You will develop your analytics skills and your profile in the energy sector. You will be supported in growing along with your tasks and increasingly taking over

The role will include

•  Supporting analysis of electricity markets worldwide to uncover insights that drive recommendations to clients: understanding the fundamentals of power markets operations and price drivers, power grids, policies, opportunities relating to renewable energy procurement and ancillary markets
•  Synthesizing quantitative and qualitative research findings into informative and easy-to-understand deliverables (reports and presentations) to our clients
•  Systematically tracking and analyzing key energy market developments and regulatory changes in EMEA, APAC, and AMER energy markets
•  Collecting key energy data including energy prices, power generation mix, installed capacity mix, energy consumption etc.
•  Supporting ad-hoc analysis when needed topics related to renewable procurements, grid topics, investment analysis, sustainability etc.

Our ideal candidate for the position is someone with a positive attitude and curious mindset. You enjoy challenges, problem-solving and going beyond your comfort zone. Even though you work efficiently you always pay close attention to details. You enjoy teamwork but have great initiative and can also get things done alone. Your communication skills are strong. You are comfortable cooperating closely with customers (senior, even C-level) and are skilled when it comes to “telling a story” with data. You are flexible and do not mind occasional tight deadlines and are fine with adapting working hours from time to time when the customer’s time zone requires it.

You should have a relevant degree, be studying a relevant subject, or have relevant work experience.

We require you to have

•  Relevant master’s degree/ongoing studies, for example: energy engineering, economics, finance, journalism, geopolitics, ideally with energy-related majors
•  Good understanding of energy markets
•  Excellent written and spoken English skills
•  Very good Microsoft Office skills (esp. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
•  Analytical mindset, well-structured and thorough approach to working
•  Good personality and fit into the team

•  Work experience regarding (energy) market research and data analytics, grid infrastructure development, good contacts with utilities
•  Consultancy training and positive attitude towards preparation of presentations, reports, and strategic frameworks
•  Additional language skills (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic)
