We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable
Assistant Accountant
to manage day-to-day financial transactions, ensure timely payments, and maintain accurate financial records. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles, looking for flexible working hours (20 hours per week).

Key responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting ERP
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including issuing invoices and reconciling payments
- Monitor bank transactions and perform monthly reconciliations
- Assist with VAT filings and other tax-related documentation
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and financial institutions
- Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and company policies
- Maintain organized digital and physical financial records
- Provide day-to-day support to the Athens-based accountant, assisting with financial tasks and ensuring smooth coordination within the finance team of the group.
Skills and experience necessary for success in the role
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, payments officer, or similar role
- Familiarity with Greek accounting standards and tax regulations
- Proficiency in ERP accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good command of English and Greek (written and spoken)
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
