LabVIEW Software Developer
ProGnosis Biotech S.A., a rapidly growing and innovative company in the biotechnology sector, is seeking LabVIEW Software Developer to join its team in Thessaloniki, on a full-time, on-site basis.
Role Overview
The LabVIEW Software Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining LabVIEW-based applications used in laboratory instruments, automation systems, and data acquisition platforms. This role works closely with scientists, engineers, and hardware teams to ensure reliable and efficient system performance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update existing LabVIEW applications to adapt to new requirements and improve performance.
- Design, develop, and implement LabVIEW-based software solutions for automated test systems, data acquisition, and control systems.
- Develop and optimize VI architectures and frameworks for scalability, maintainability, and performance.
- Integrate hardware components such as DAQ devices, sensors, actuators, and communication modules into LabVIEW applications.
- Perform system-level testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure reliability and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and project managers, to define system requirements.
- Provide technical support and training for end-users and internal teams.
- Document system designs, software architectures, and test plans.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols.

Requirements
- [Preferred] Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Ease in developing modular and reusable code in LabVIEW.
- Experience with hardware communication protocols (e.g., USB/SERIAL).
- Understanding of signal processing, data acquisition, and control systems.
- Knowledge of software version control tools and practices
- Languages: Greek and English
Preferred Skills
- Proven experience in LabVIEW development
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Vision Development Module
- Experience in integrating third-party hardware and software solutions
- Familiarity with scripting or additional programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, MATLAB)
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
